Free Transportation on New Years Eve in San Francisco

San Francisco Muni will operate free light-rail and bus service from 8 p.m. Monday through 6 a.m. Tuesday — the agency’s 13th straight year of free rides on New Year’s Eve.

On the Peninsula, SamTrans buses will be free after 11 p.m., lasting until 2 a.m. the next day.   In Oakland, the Broadway Shuttle, or “Free B,” will run extra service until 1 a.m.

 

Also, AAA is offering free, 10-mile tows home for anyone who calls 800-AAA-HELP from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.
