A reminder about attending one of Williams-Sonoma’s popular free culinary technique classes to learn the art and science of cooking from their own culinary experts in June 2011. The next free cooking class offered is celebrating American BBQ “Kansas City & Texas style” on June 26 — just in time for the summer time ritual! (Click at bottom for more info) The specific times may vary from place to place, and you’ll need to RSVP. Sundays are their cooking technique class days. Each class is dedicated to a specific culinary topic, from the best way to work with specific ingredients, cookware and tools to creative ideas for seasonal meals.

Our final class in the series showcases Kansas City and Texas—both famous for their beef brisket. Learn how to combine wet and dry rubs as it’s done in Kansas City, and how to produce succulent, juicy meat in the Texas style. We’ll also discuss popular ways to serve barbecued brisket.
