April continues to be a great month to take a free cooking class in San Francisco at Williams-Sonoma’s free in-store cooking & technique classes. The specific times may vary from place to place, and you’ll need to RSVP. Sundays are typically tech class days, and this month’s free cooking classes include:
FROM SCRATCH – FRESH PASTA
Sunday, April 10
Here’s a basic primer: pasta fresca (fresh pasta), pasta fatta in casa (pasta made at home), pasta fatta a mano (pasta made by hand), sfoglia (“thin sheets” of pasta), and pasta all’uovo (egg pasta). These are just some of the many terms Italians use for homemade pasta. And while making pasta takes time, it’s time well spent. This class will walk you through the basic ingredients and equipment needed for making authentic Italian style pasta.
EGGS – SWEET & SAVORY
Sunday, April 17
Eggs are the original protein-packed perfect food. As a main ingredient, they’re incredibly versatile. In this class, we’ll show you how to make both sweet and savory egg dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner—and snacks in between. From simple and casual to classic, it’s all about the egg.
